Gofer Mining has acquired an operating strontium mine in Tibet

Gofer Mining plc is pleased to announce that it has acquired 100% of the operations of a strontium only mine in Tibet for a sum of £ 19 million.

The mine was operating as a private government venture with a valid production license and shall now be restructured into the British Mining Enterprise (英国矿企) - a new Chinese owned entity which will be owned by a Commonwealth Trustee on behalf of Gofer Mining plc.

The British Mining Enterprise will have proven and probable reserves of not less than 300 thousand metric tons.

The mine is capable of producing a Grade A strontium concentrate that will be further refined into metal in the Greek refinery of Gofer Mining plc.

There is a strong global deficit for strontium used in the electronics industry and this acquisition is one of many Gofer Mining plc will do to address global needs.
